This mosaic is a physical representation of the life philosophy my parents indirectly imparted to me. Basically it means do a good job in whatever you pursue but don’t be boastful about it. The words by themselves are aggressive but rendering them in white marble on a white marble background softens the message – while still conveying the idea. The fact that the statement is set into mortar and is more or less indestructible completes the concept.
